Hazmat Awareness & Operations Refresher

The Lakemont Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations Refresher courses on Saturday, January 11, 2024 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Hazmat Awareness Refresher:
- Identifying hazardous materials
- Using the Emergency Response Guidebook to identify risks and protective actions
- Using hazard communication documents to identify risks and protective actions
- Determining personal and public protective actions
Hazmat Operations Refresher:
- Identifying potential hazards and containers
- ICS and WMD,
- Initial response and PPE
- Product control and emergency decontamination
The courses will be held at the Lakemont Fire Station on 312 Lotz Avenue, Altoona PA 16602. Courses are limited to 30 students. If interested in participating, please contact David Lynch at 814-330-2015.
