Latest News From LVFC

At 04:21 this date the alarm rang out for our first due at 547 Gesser Avenue in the Village of Lakemont for a reported dwelling fire with a fire in the attic.

Assistant Chief (Lynch) came immediately up on the air with fire showing. Deputy 15 (M. Yon) marked enroute on scene with confirmed working attic fire with extension to 2nd division.

Engine Rescue 15 with a crew of 4 arrived on scene with orders for 2″ hand line to rear of structure. Upon entering the crew encountered heavy fire on division 2 with attic access burned out.

Truck 10 provided Ariel coverage to the b/c side of the structure providing suppression to the attic and roof areas while protecting a nearby house exposure on the b side.

The fire was under control within a half hour of arrival thanks to all of the hardworking firefighters on scene.

Thank you to ALL of the first responders of the mutual aide companies who came and helped out this morning. A special thanks to truck 83 of Portage for covering for us in our station.
