Dear Friends & Neighbors,

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of service to our community, the Vol Fire Company has been making significant strides in enhancing our facilities. At the beginning of 2025, we proudly opened a newly renovated bunk room to accommodate overnight staffing for our dedicated crews. This important project included the complete remodeling of a bathroom, with new flooring, a modern sink, and the addition of a shower unit. We also installed a new heater/AC unit, updated the carpeting, and furnished the room with three sets of sturdy bunk beds and mattresses.

Our next step in improving the firehouse is to create a dedicated laundry area. This space will greatly improve efficiency for our crews, allowing them easy access to clean uniforms and bedding—essential for maintaining health and hygiene during long shifts. The new laundry area will be equipped with commercial-grade washers and dryers, capable of managing the high volume of laundry that comes with daily operations.

Looking ahead, we are committed to continuing our efforts to upgrade the firehouse facilities. These improvements are not just about providing comfort for our team, but are also key to improving operational efficiency. By investing in our crew’s well-being and readiness, we are able to ensure faster response times and a higher level of preparedness to serve the residents and visitors of our community at any time, day or night.
